Are Napa brake parts any good?

I have a 06 civic. It has around 50k on it now. I just checked the pad and rotor when I changed over the winter tires. The rotor is fine, no visible deep groove and no pulsing when braking hard, the front pads still have lots of friction material on it. The wear sensor is way above the rotor.

I don't worry too much about changing the rotors unless it is pulsing and got deep groove on it. I never turn the rotors, just replace them if bad.

I have tried expensive rotors, pads and cheap rotors, pads over the years. They all gave me satisfactory performance. If you feel more comfortable with the expensive parts, get them for peace of mind.

One thing is to get a torque wrench to check the proper torque of the wheel lug nuts. Sometimes you get an idiots to do your car and put those wheel lug nut on by feel only, every lug nut is different torque. This is very bad for the rotors.

My 2 cents.

Regular brake pads are suitable for almost every vehicle under average driving conditions. For the average driver, these brake pads will work perfectly and are our most affordable option.

NAPA Proformer and NAPA QE Brake are both examples of regular brake pads. Most of them are ceramic brake pads or semi-metallic brake pads.

NAPA Proformer brake pads provide excellent quality for drivers on a budget. You’ll find that they work best on older and economy vehicles. NAPA QE Brake pads are engineered to aftermarket preferences to ensure proper fit and proven performance.

If you’re looking for longevity and factory performance in your daily ride, these brake pads are the ones for you.
