I did a search on foam cleaning products on NAT and on you tube. Ran across this video and the guy wasn't very impressed. Looked like it was cleaning, but when dried didn't clean very well at all.

He thought it was a gimmick, maybe it was the cleaner he was using?

What is your opinion and what is your suggested product to clean. jd4930

We love our foam cannon but imo if you are looking for some miracle cure where you don't have to use a brush then yes you will be disappointed..... KFLAgri

Mine showed up the other day from Amazon, got a gallon of that chemical guys green soap too. Hopefully let you know this afternoon what I think of it.

Can't say I've ever been this excited to power wash something before 82farmer

Mine is a cheap Amazon. Really makes suds, I think it helps with hard water spots and really seems to make the glass clean. Alot easier than soap in a bucket. gthompson97

It’s 100x better than a touchless wash as far as vehicles go but it’s not as good as a good scrubbing. I would say it gets 90-95% of the crap off which is good enough for me if we’re doing a quick wash. seedcleaner

Soap is no miracle cure. I wouldn't recommend washing in sun and letting soap dry. KFLAgri

Well I'm convinced. 4oz soap in a quart of water did an Oliver 1600 and the pickup and still have some left in the foam cannon

it helps break up dirt, you still have to touch the vehicle if you want it really clean, but its a lot better than just using a pressure washer with only water havin'funfarming

Several guys around here are very happy with the foam gun/T&T cleaner from Schippers. I just bought one this winter but haven’t used it yet. Thud

Near-north Ontario, French River

I use the T&T cleaner from Schippers, It works really good for taking the crud off, especially dried stuck on bugs on the T-800. My only issue is it doesn't leave a sparkling shine , I talked to company rep at a farm show here last month and it sounds like part of the issue may be how I'm washing. I think I'm letting the soap stay on too long, especially in the heat of the summer and it starts to dry before I get the entire truck rinsed. The truck is black so often times if I start on one side with the foam, then move to the other side before rinsing its already starting to dry.. as in as little as 2 minutes. Going to try washing differently this year to see if it changes. durallymax

They're great, but you'll still need to actually scrub to clean.

I've said it 1 million bagillion times, there's no shortcuts to shine unfortunately. All requires manual labor, no miracle product exists. With cleaning you're trying to loosen and remove dirt, with polishing you are trying to level the surface so it shines. You can't just spray some fairy dust on and expect great results. Maybe in the future but not right now. jd4930

+1 Chemical Guys from Amazon. No better than plain water. Makes lots of suds, but unless you brush and scrub, just a waste of time and money.

Slicker than a Yes album.

Slicker than a Yes album.

So true.

I will welcome the fairy dust cleaner when it is invented, but I'll have to keep sponging and brushing until then. hd6gtom
